Helo~
You are on this page. Wondering who is this person behind this disasterous blog with bad English and picture skills.
Well, firstly, hi! Nice of you to drop by!
Welcome to my world of my own thoughts written in a blog that will perhaps provide some form of entertainment. Or if you will, challenge, where you delve into the recipes that I've created or at least try to figure it out.
Growing up, I've always been a curious child with a learning issue and was also one of those children that always finish last. My solace was food but oddly enough, I never really ate alot. However, I do remember always hovering around my parents while they cooked. After a while, I would be asked to prepare the ingredients while my parents went to watch TV. My mother has an innate hate for garlic and would turn me into her personal garlic mincer everytime she was going to cook a meal. I never hated such task and infact I loved it. It also meant that I could catch up with my parents while watching them cook.
Then I got married and homesick. I had to learn how to recreate my favourite dishes because I lived a hour and a half away from my mother. The rest as they say is history.
So that's the cooking side of me.
The other side loves to eat. My late dad would always take timeout from work and take us to different eating places to discover new stuff. I guess that slowly also became my way of life and would then take me to other countries to discover food too! Bonus, that the hungry hubby shares my love of food.
Ok enough about me.
Go on, read the rest of the blog and perhaps if you will, drop a nice message to say Hi! That would be like a cup of warm Milo on a rainy day!
With love
Mrs Chef Jocher
