Babi Pongteh oddly is a dish that is served only in some restaurants in Malacca. To feed Hungry Hubby's craving, Mrs Jocher must hunt for it during the recent trip there in June.
Lo-and-behold, google search let me to The Kam Cheng 感情, a modern Peranakan restaurant in Malacca. Voted one of the top 7 lavish Peranakan restaurants in Southeast Asia by Tatler Asia. I was pretty elated to snag a reservation as based on google reviews, slots in this town is hard to get. Especially when there's 10 of us.

Since there's so many of us, we were able to order more dishes to try. The flavours were pretty on point and very addictive when accompanied with Bluepea flower rice. What was the most interest and yummy dish was Lemak Pucuk, crunchy veggies in a coconut based sauce. The restaurant also serves kids dishes for little ones that aren't interested in peranakan food so the adults were able to enjoy their dinner while the kids enjoy theirs.
